Helping out

Sharing and taking turns.

This week we received some post from Helen and Jim. They were in China earlier in the year and answered lots of the children's questions about life in China.
They sent us some stickers, kites and 2 very special pens with terracotta warriors on the top. The children are taking turns to use the pens at printing time so they can produce quality work!
We had a look at X'ian where the terracotta warriors were found - it was very interesting!

The children are very interested in learning about our world.
So it is particularly exciting when we look at the statistics for our blog to see the different countries where people have been reading about us.
Grandparents, extended family, penpals and friends all over the world can see what we are learning.
We do like getting a 'comment'.
So far this year we have had 2403 pageviews!

Today we 'visited' Romania with Cesar.
We listened to some traditional folk music and he told us about his trip.
He told us how to say 'hello' - 'salut'.
We are making a passport with some bullet points about each country we 'visit'. The children like looking at the map and searching for the flags.
Romania has the biggest Dino Park in Europe.

Cesar went for a ride in this!

The zoo is always fun!

Flinn was awarded a medal at his gym class last week.
Ka pai Flinn
This week we are back to 'normal'.
The children made such great progress with their swimming over the last two weeks.
It was a awesome for the children to have a turn wearing a life jacket and scrambling into the boat in the deep pool. Some children found this experience extremely scary, but everyone was very supportive and everyone was successful! I was proud!
The children found the pyjamas very heavy to try to swim in!
